How to use the calculator

  1. Choose a jackpot, or “Other jackpot” and enter its games and price per line.
  2. Enter how many doubles and triples your ticket has.
  3. Set how often you expect a single pick and a double to be right.
  4. Read the lines, the cost and your chance of every prize tier.

Why the cost climbs so fast

Every double doubles the lines and every triple triples them, so the cost grows much faster than the chance. A few well-placed doubles are worth far more than many.

How the chances are worked out

Each game is its own event: a single counts at the single accuracy you set, a double at the double accuracy and a triple is always right. The calculator works out the exact chance of every possible number of correct games, with no simulation. The accuracy you enter matters most, so use our predictions for each game's chances:

Jackpot calculator: frequently asked questions

How do I work out the cost of a jackpot ticket with doubles?

Multiply the price of one line by 2 for every double and by 3 for every triple. Three doubles at KSh 99 are 8 lines: KSh 792.

Do doubles increase my chance of winning?

Yes, but each one doubles the cost. They add the most on the closest games, where the second most likely result has a real chance.

Which chance per pick should I use?

33% is a blind guess. Careful picks are usually right 45-55% of the time; use our predictions for each game's chances.

Does the calculator predict results?

No. It shows the cost and the probabilities for the accuracy you enter. The picks for each game are on the jackpot pages.
